Why Consider a Celebrant Led Ceremony?
Funerals are changing. More people are choosing a unique celebrant ceremony over a more traditional religious service. However, one fact is constant: losing a loved one is one of the hardest times you will face.
My role as Celebrant is to acknowledge your grief, and through listening to your memories, help you plan and create a bespoke funeral service that celebrates your loved one’s life.
A personalised service brings people together, to honour a person’s achievements, values, expressions of love; the qualities that make a life well lived. From this celebration, you can find great comfort, storing the essence of your loved one deep within you forever.

What My Celebrancy Provides

Meeting with You
I will meet with you personally to discover your loved one’s life story, values, achievements. This helps me paint a portrait with words of their uniqueness, what made them so special.

Listening, and showing Compassion and Empathy
I will seek to help you begin an important part of the grieving process: sharing memories of a loved one, through anecdotes, moments that made you proud, happy occasions, even laughter.

Guidance about the Service
I will explain clearly the possible structures for your service, alleviating pressure during a very challenging time. I will help you choose music, poetry and readings, and take you through funeral service arrangements. You will see the order of service in advance, ensuring every detail aligns with your wishes.

Writing a Unique, Personalised Eulogy
I will write a bespoke eulogy based on notes from our meeting, to celebrate your loved one’s life. This will be exchanged in draft form, for checking and alterations. It is your words, your service; I am merely the helper.

Conducting the Service
Being the welcomer and guide to ensure that your service wishes are met, creating a dignified ceremony that is a fitting memorial and celebration for your loved one.

Supporting
Checking in with you a few days after the service to see how you are.
